Interstate
Inc. call center going offshore report.
Summary: As a management team we were
asked to investigate and decide in which country our call center should be
established in order to save costs.
Introduction: The four countries which
were assessed are the following:
- China
- Philippines
- India
- Canada
After researching the above four
countries in various areas such as: cost of living, GP per head, population etc.
we came to the conclusion that one of these countries is suitable to host the company
call center.
Population facts: After consultations
with other companies located in these 4 countries it was decided that population
may play a big role in the country selected for the new call center.
Cost of living and Income: As the
reason for the moving of the call center to an offshore location is to save
costs, cost of living and GP per head reports were studied carefully as we all
agree that these are the main reasons in choosing the country.
Competitiveness & operating Costs:
Operating costs should be within
logical frames and company should be able to serve the local community.
Conclusion: It seems clear that the
lowest cost of living should be selected due to the fact that the reason for
moving the call center is to save cost. Therefore, we suggest that the call
center be moved to India.
